Welcome to Weeknights, a unique gallery space in Bushwick run out of an artist studio. We hold month-long exhibitions in hopes of selling and promoting innovative, clever, ambitious, original, and aesthetically beautiful work by interesting artists. 2-3 person shows are most common, with the occasional solo or group show. We are always accepting submissions – please email firstname.lastname@example.org with medium-res jpgs, website, and other relevant information for consideration.
Weeknights is opening with the inaugural exhibition Friends of Friends on Friday July 13 from 7-10pm. This group show, comprised of 20 artists fitting small work into less than 200 square feet, will feature a variety of work ranging from the subtle, domestic photographs of Julianna Slutsky and Kylen Gillette to the lusciously thick paintings of Nicole Aiello and Theresa Daddezio to humorous anti-art by Andrew Birk and Mark Blumenthal. Join this diverse group of artists and friends for a much anticipated evening celebrating the inception of this new gallery space and all the ambitious work made by established, emerging, and outsider artists alike.
